Use your Week-ends Wisely at Trebinshun House
The Trebinshun House courses are completed by lunch time each Friday and start again with new participants in the early evening of the following Sunday.
During your course you will learn an enormous amount of English and the weekend gives you an opportunity to use this new knowledge in a variety of practical situations and at the same time to visit places of interest, meet friends or relax and unwind in a new and different location.
There are many possibilities for your week-end and the Trebinshun House team is happy to help you with any arrangements.
We have lots of suggestions with approximate prices and we strongly suggest deciding on your week-end plans as soon as possible so we can get the best prices for your accommodation and travel.
Please note that to hire a car for the week-end from Brecon is approximately £55 and so is a very cheap and convenient way to see the beautiful countryside both in Wales and further afield.
If you prefer a read-made package we have two options ready for you and both cost £150 for the 2 night stay. This price includes accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis with private bathroom and travel either by train or using self-drive car hire to and from the location. Other meals and any activities are not included.
Cardiff is a port city on the south coast of Wales, where the River Taff meets the Severn Estuary.
It was proclaimed the nation’s capital in 1955.
The revitalized waterfront at Cardiff Bay includes the Wales Millennium Centre, home of the national opera, orchestra, theatre and dance companies.
There are interesting shops and restaurants at Mermaid Quay.
Architect Richard Rogers’ strikingly modern Senedd building houses the Welsh National Assembly.
In the centre there is Cardiff Castle, the National Museum of Wales with wonderful pictures and the Motor Arena as well as many London shops.
A short bus trip to the Heritage Museum at St Fagan’s is well worth it.

SEASIDE IN PEMBROKESHIRE
Come to stay with Liza and Robin Watson in their house right on the coast in Newport, Pembrokeshire.
This is a delightful small town with lots of restaurants and little shops.
The area is fantastic if you like walking on the coastal path and enjoying the sea views and the birds.
Ideally you should hire a car so you can visit nearby St David’s with its world-famous cathedral, Manobier, Pembroke Castle and many other places of interest.
Robin and Liza invite you as guests on a Bed & Breakfast basis and there are plenty of opportunities to eat lunch and dinner in the town which is a 3 minute walk away.
Be our guest in our rather old-fashioned castle with no shower – just a bath and no ensuite.
Breakfast is included!
Best to hire a car from Brecon for the week-end and the drive is easy and takes just over 2 hours.
Return trains are also possible via Abergavenny. It is a scenic journey that takes over 3 hours.
